Hi, there!

I'm Maria. I'm a copywriter and comedian.

Back when I was 18, I moved from Nebraska to NYC, where I got a degree in musical theater from Molloy University. I moved to DC for a few years, working as a comedy writer & performer and a professional actor. I even won some awards.

Covid hit (remember that?) and I pivoted towards writing and comedy.

I was at the OG Creative Circus as it was closing… I have stories AND a certificate.

That’s why I’m a copywriter by day, it’s my favorite team sport, partially because it’s the only one where you get to make jokes about pancakes and get paid for it.

I’ve been at Tombras. I’ve been at BBDO. And currently? I’m kicking it with Brunner in Atlanta with my husband and our small zoo. 

And at night, it’s all about the laughs.
